Plantage
The popular Plantage district is in the eastern part of Amsterdam’s historic centre, and it is ideal for exploring by bike. This originally Jewish district has grand, peaceful streets, majestic buildings and is remarkably green. You can visit Artis Zoo, Hortus Botanica and the Tropenmuseum (the ethnographic museum).
Provos

Waterland

Zaanse Schans
The Zaanse Schans route takes you through the Twiske recreation park to the banks of the River Zaan, with the world famous Zaanse Schans, which has eight windmills that are still in operation.
